MySpace Goes to Japan

News Corp. owner of Myspace launches the Japanese version of its service today.

MySpace has grown to be the most popular website on the English-language Internet, and is already accessible in countries including Australia, France, Germany, Ireland and the U.K. The Japanese version will be the be the sixth national service and and fourth different language version of the service.

MySpace Japan is a joint-venture between News Corp. and Softbank. Myspace Japan is competing against a number of competitors, primarily Mixi, which has over 6 million users.
