YouTube goes legal with Warner

Could this be the end of fun and freedom on YouTube.com ?  Its our favourite site to search and watch home videos without license but with complete freedom.  We've known for a long time that YouTube.com have an unsustainable business model with them burning gigabytes of bandwidth every few minutes.  Their income streams are limited and constrained and with the risk of a lawsuit looming something had to be done.

So YouTube today signed a deal with media giant Warner Music to allow its material to be used legally.
It means interviews and videos by Warner's artists can be used in return for a slice of advertising revenue.

Good news for everyone who records ans uploads their vids for us to enjoy,
he agreement also covers the use of material in homemade videos, which form a large part of YouTube's content.

Keep it up guys, keep it free...
